Thames Valley Network: Riverside Project
Marlow U3A
Photographic Group is hosting a meeting on Wednesday 6 October as part of the
Riverside Project. All photographers in U3A Thames Valley Network are welcome
to join in. If you wish to do so, please assemble at 10:00 am on the green
between the High Street and The Causeway (The Causeway is the name of a road)
just north of Marlow Bridge. We will be taking photographs on and around the
bridge and will then follow the Thames path, first to to Marlow Lock, and then
on to the marina/boatyard. We can then enjoy a fine lunch at the Spade Oak pub
in Coldmooreholme lane before returning to the town centre. If enough people
turn up we can organise a second group to go upstream as far as Temple lock and
then return to Marlow for lunch.
Parking in Marlow: A (rather expensive)
car park can be found in Pound Lane, off the High Street just to the north of
Marlow Bridge. However, free parking can be had in Quarry Wood Road to the
south of the bridge. It is about two minutes walk from Quarry Wood Road to the
assembly point.
