WILDLIFE ACTIVITIES DAY

Dinton Pastures Multi-Activity Centre
Wokingham U3A is organising a day to learn about the bird and insect life around Lavells Lake, within the Dinton Pastures Nature Reserve, Hurst, RG10 0TH
Programme for the day:-
10.00 Coffee and registration
10.30 Illustrated talk on the identification of water birds by Fraser Cottington,
Chairman of the Friends of Lavells Lake
11.15 Illustrated talk on the identification of insects by Jon Cole
Vice-Chairman of Wokingham U3A and entomologist.
PICNIC LUNCH
13.00 Guided walks around the site, using the bird hides and catching insects, led by Fraser Cottington and Jon Cole
15.30 -16.00 Compare notes and tea
Cost of day £5, including coffee, talks and walks and use of bird hides. Bring your own lunch. Cost of car-park £2 (payable on arrival)
Numbers will be limited by the size of the Activity Centre, and walking groups. All U3As in the Thames Valley area are invited to join us.
