ADOPT A
As part of the Riverside
project it was agreed that each of the Thames Valley U3As or interest groups
should ‘adopt a lock’ for the duration of the project and use it as a basis for
exploring the history, architecture, environs, wildlife and all other relevant
interests of its immediate vicinity.
The precise area to be covered
is left to the adopting U3A and could extend a mile or so up or downstream. It
is hoped that participating group can use their adopted lock project as a basis
for the exhibition at

doing.
